ABOUT ME & MY APPROACH
I am an experienced counsellor& psychotherapist with ten years of experience in providing professional counselling services. I am currently in private practice and my areas of expertise lie in treating stress, anxiety, depression, relationship issues, gender issues, couples, personal development, and health-related psychosocial issues for youths, adolescents and adults. I also work with children and adults on the autism spectrum. I work as a counsellor/Psychotherapist with the Bedford Family Project facilitating groups and treating clients for a range of complex psychosocial issues relating to imprisonment. As well as this I am an affiliate member of Spectrum Health providing face to face counselling as well as telephone support counselling services for a wide range of issues including Autism Spectrum Disorder(ASD) issues.
I practise as an Integrated, Client-Centred Humanistic therapist. I work with many different approaches using behavioural techniques such as CBT & DBT as well as mindfulness, guided meditation, and hypnotherapy. I also offer Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) > This is a psychotherapy that enables people to heal from emotional distress caused by disturbing or traumatic life experiences.
I also work with groups as a facilitator and a supervisor
