ABOUT ME & MY APPROACH
I am a Humanistic and Integrative Counsellor and Psychotherapist, a graduate of Turning Point Training Institute and Dublin City University (DCU). Central to my clinical practice is the importance of the therapeutic relationship, thereby creating a safe and confidential space from which a client can explore the challenges experienced in life. I integrate many
different approaches depending on each client’s specific requirements and facilitate all clients to develop clarity so that they may develop the skills and resources within themselves to deal with these challenges and overcome obstacles.
I have a background as a secondary school teacher, including substantial experience working within a Child and Adolescent Mental Health service. I work with a range of issues including depression, anxiety, anger, grief, relationships, self-esteem, self-harm, suicidal ideation and have a particular interest in working with individuals who have experienced any form of emotional trauma.
I have also completed additional training in Somatic Trauma Therapy with Babette Rothschild.
