ABOUT ME & MY APPROACH
“Life isn't always easy, sometimes we experience problems that can cause us to feel stressed, anxious, or overwhelmed. Hi, my name is Breda and I am a CBT therapist CBT, (Cognitive behavioural therapy) is a type of talking therapy. CBT aims to help you deal with overwhelming problems in a more positive way by breaking them down into smaller parts. I will show you how to change these negative patterns to improve the way you feel. Through CBT I will help you learn coping skills for dealing with different problems. It focuses on how your thoughts, beliefs and attitudes affect your feelings and actions”.
Therapy is tailored to each individual; I work online which allows me to offer more flexible appointment times. I believe that therapy should be empowering and offer practical skills for long lasting positive change. I work a non-judgemental, collaborative, empathic perspective, empowering clients.
Experience working with anxiety, grief & loss, self-esteem, stress, motivation, pain, fertility issues, depression, issues related to weight, relationships, chronic pain, weight loss & exercise goals.
