ABOUT ME & MY APPROACH
My more senior age experience has facilitated an easy relationship with clients of all ages. This helps me in developing a connection with the client that is built on respect and honesty.
I have worked with a variety of issues including depression, anxiety, panic attacks, impact of childhood trauma, loss and grief and relationship challenges. He also offers counselling for couples experiencing difficulties in their relationship. From a workplace perspective the most common issues include stress, burnout, relationships and bullying.
On life’s path we all encounter difficulties; the support and guidance of an unbiased objective person can often be the difference to overcoming life’s challenges or languishing beneath their weight. At the heart of good psychotherapy is the alliance built up between therapist and client. Through a collaborative, open and honest relationship in therapy clients have the opportunity for personal growth and positive change.
The core philosophy of my practice comes from my training in Gestalt Psychotherapy. It is the integrity, the oneness of mind, spirit and body and importantly our environment. I work from a holistic person-centred method following the client’s lead. The Gestalt approach is grounded in the here-and-now.
